Terms of service

These terms cover kisocraft.com, shop.kisocraft.com, and ordering through AI assistants. They're written to be read. Effective July 2026.

The short version

• Everything is made to order, to your dimensions.
• Payment always goes through Stripe and always comes before production — at checkout on the web shop, or by emailed invoice after we confirm an AI-assistant order request.
• AI-assistant order requests are never charged directly: we confirm first, invoice second, and unpaid requests expire on their own after 7 days.
• Budgetary estimates are estimates, not offers. The checkout total or confirmed invoice is the price.
• We stand behind the work. If something's wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.

Ordering, confirmation, and payment

There are two ways to order, and they pay differently:

On the web shop (shop.kisocraft.com), checkout is immediate — you pay through Stripe's secure checkout when you place the order, and your pieces enter the production queue right away.

Through an AI assistant, placing an order creates an order request, not a charge. A person at Kiso reviews it, usually within one business day, and sends an invoice by email through Stripe; production starts when the invoice is paid. If an order request isn't paid within 7 days, it expires automatically and nothing is owed.

Either way, payment happens on Stripe's secure pages — we never handle your card or bank details — and payment always comes before production. Oversized pieces that need freight, and fully assembled pieces for local delivery, are confirmed with a hand-prepared quote on both surfaces before anything is charged.

Prices and estimates

The price on your confirmed invoice is the price. Live prices shown while configuring are accurate at the time shown but may be updated before confirmation. Budgetary ranges for custom projects — including any produced in an AI conversation — are educational estimates only and never an offer to sell; custom project pricing is set in a written proposal after a design consultation.

Cancellation and changes

Before payment, cancel or change anything, free, no questions — for AI-assistant order requests that window is the whole 7-day hold. Web-shop orders are paid at checkout, but production doesn't start the same second: contact us right away and we'll cancel or change freely anything that hasn't been cut. Once pieces are cut to your dimensions we'll still accommodate what the build state allows, and we'll always tell you honestly what's possible. Made-to-order goods cut to your specifications can't be returned for resale, so refunds after production are at our reasonable discretion; talk to us.

Delivery and inspection

Flat-packed components ship nationwide at the flat rates shown at checkout; oversized pieces ship freight by quote; assembled pieces are delivered locally within Salt Lake City & the Wasatch Front. Please inspect on arrival and report damage or shortages within 7 days so we can put it right with the carrier and with you.

Our promise on the work

Solid hardwood, honest joinery, repairable finishes. If a piece arrives with a defect in materials or workmanship, contact us and we will repair, replace, or refund it — that promise is the point of the company. Natural wood moves with humidity and carries its own grain and color; that variation is character, not a defect.

Your specifications

Made-to-order means we build exactly what was confirmed. Please check dimensions before paying the invoice — the confirmation email and invoice list every specification. We validate everything against what our shop can manufacture, but only you know if it fits your wall.

AI assistants

You can browse, configure, and order through AI assistants that connect to our systems. The assistant's own words are its provider's, not ours; the authoritative catalog, prices, and order records come from our systems at confirmation, and these terms govern any order placed that way. Verification codes we email you are for your use only — never share one with anyone else.

Text messaging

Text our business number and you've started a conversation — we'll text back to help with a project, a quote, or an order. It's a two-way customer-service line, not a marketing program: message frequency varies with the conversation, and message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time. We don't send marketing texts, and we never share your mobile number or your consent to be texted with anyone for marketing. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The boring but necessary part

We're liable for what we build and sell, up to the amount you paid for it; we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and nothing here limits liability the law says can't be limited. Site content is ours; don't reuse it commercially without asking. These terms are governed by Utah law. If we update them, the date above changes; material changes never apply retroactively to a confirmed order.
