Finished millwork meeting a calm room in warm light.

A careful process for work that has to fit, function, and last.

Finish work succeeds or fails in the details: the measurement, the reveal, the material choice, the hardware, the surface, and the way everything meets the room. Our process is designed to make those details deliberate.

Our process

Six steps. Every detail considered.

From the first measurement to the final adjustment, we follow a deliberate process that respects your home, your time, and the materials we work with.

Step 1

Understand the room

We begin with the existing space: dimensions, walls, floors, openings, utilities, light, and the way the room will be used.

Drawings and wood samples arranged on a worktable.
Step 2

Define the work

We translate the need into clear scope: cabinetry, built-ins, trim, wall details, hardware, finish, and installation constraints.

Step 3

Design the details

Proportions, reveals, profiles, clearances, and transitions are resolved before fabrication begins.

Step 4

Build in the shop

Components are fabricated in a controlled shop environment for accuracy, repeatability, and cleaner installation.

Step 5

Finish with intention

Surfaces are finished according to the material and use case, with preference for healthy, repairable, low-toxicity finishes where appropriate.

Careful installation and alignment of cabinetry on site.
Step 6

Install carefully

Installation is where shop accuracy meets the real room. We align, shim, fasten, adjust, and tune the work so it belongs in the space.

Quality at each stage

Measured at every step.
